Phoenix Children’s Chorus Artistic Director Troy Meeker’s dream when choosing Spain as the 2023 international tour destination was to have the choirs perform in La Sagrada Familia. So we arranged for them to perform twice! The Encore and Cadenza choirs presented a full concert in the Crypt Church, then sang in the International Mass celebrated in the Basilica the next morning. Hefty fees, complex union rules, box offices, thousands of seats to fill….we’ve been navigating this for more than 20 years. If your ensemble is ready for that once-in-a-lifetime performance at Carnegie Hall or, like the FOOSA Philharmonic shown below, wants to make a major concert an annual affair, contact us for a proposal tailored uniquely to your situation.
Trust is hard to build and easy to lose. We are proud of an ongoing collaboration with the Westminster Williamson Voices, the chamber ensemble of the prestigious Westminster Choir College, having presented their performances of James Whitbourn’s Annelies at both Lincoln Center and the Washington National Cathedral.
Singapore is an 18-hour flight from San Francisco; Malaysia has no direct flights to the US. Sometimes, the farther you go, the richer the reward! We organized a groundbreaking tour of Malaysian and Singapore for the Gustavus Symphony Orchestra and Gustavus Jazz Ensemble, where one concert was attended by 19 different ambassadors, and another raised over $20,000 to aid the homeless. The Higley High School Choir Department participated in a San Francisco-based festival over spring break. On the travel day from Arizona to California, they stopped at Mt San Antonio College to work with Bruce Rogers, then attended a vocal recital at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. After an overnight bus ride from LA to San Francisco, they took a city tour, sang an impromptu recital in Grace Cathedral, and visited Muir Woods. In addition to the day-long festival participation with its evening concert, the choirs spent time at Pier 39, rode the cable cars, visited Alcatraz, and even stopped at the Winchester Mystery House on the way back to Arizona.
